Why a gallery I can hear you say?

Is this just a collection of tennis photos & videos?

Well for me, everyday presents a different challenge.

Sometimes it's just getting out of bed (lol), but mostly it's the challenge behind working with players who are all different in not only playing standards but playing styles, temperament, effort levels and dedication, humour, willingness to learn and change, ability to listen, ability to talk, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, football teams, upbringing and lots lots more!

However, as difficult as this makes it to simplify things, this variety is what makes it enjoyable.

So here are some of the tennis pictures of some of the people in action which I have chosen for no particular reason other than I liked the photo or there was a geat point to highlight.

This Is Great! Mike wins in Spain, oh and by the way played great!

tennis player, win, trophy It's nice to see the matches and the weather but it's always nice to see the trophy!!

tennis player, backhand, slice I can still remember introducing the backhand slice to Mike and thinking how well he took to it considering he was so young!

tennis player, forehand The forehand has really developed into a weapon!

These are taken of Adam at a tournament in France at the end of 2007

I like this one because of the classic modern forehand finish position and also because of the concentrated look in his eyes!

This one to me says "I'm ready". A great ready position where he is set to move to any shot he needs to!

Two great backhand shots here but note that on both of them he has his eyes focused BEHIND the racket head wich means that he has focused on the contact point AND NOT on where the ball is going - a classic mistake which forces the head (and eyes) up too early!

Mike In China

Here are some photos of another guy I've been working with as his coach from when he was 8 through to his conditioning trainer up till he went to the Bollettierri Academy in Florida.

Have a look at the strings of the racket pointing down to the ground as the racket starts its downswing.

It's interesting for me to think back to the work we did when he was younger to get this happening to increase the topspin on his shot!

Whilst he was there at the tournament he practised with Spanish top 10 player Tommy Robredo.

Notice the "classic" modern racket held high position on the backswing!!!

Watch these 2 - Not Pro's BUT still going for it and loving it!!

Here's my own son playing from the baseline for the first time!
