KIDS-STRENGTH - HOW TO DO IT!

kids-strength, climbing frame, kids fun

WHAT IS KIDS-STRENGTH?

The approach to THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY for kids is very different to the approach for grown-ups.

They are NOT mini adults!

Use body weight activities, medicine balls, light resistance tubing, Swiss balls and low boxes can be used as a regular part of their weekly training program.

Change your thought patterns and look at this time as a fantastic opportunity to not only help them gain some strength, but also increased body control which will help them prepare for the next stages of training when they are a bit older.

Look at the picture opposite - climbing frames are a great way to build upper body strength!

The fun part of training at this age is using pretty much anything that exposes them to a weight bearing environment.

Here Are Some Ideas!

Do races or any activities that require crawling, climbing, dragging, pulling each other, pushing each other (e.g. wheelbarrows), tug-o-war, jumping, and throwing medicine balls for distance, accuracy, and touch.

These are a great foundation you are laying for future development.

So to get your kids tennis training on the right tracks!

Let them do what comes natural to them!
