Plyometrics - Made Simple

plyometrics jumping tennis training

Plyometrics is a form of training that uses explosive movements to develop muscular power.

Because the key to your tennis performance is not how strong you are but your ability to can express or generate that strength (force), this form of training is perfect.

It acts on both the muscular and neurological systems to increase your power output without necessarily increasing your maximum strength.

Basically whats involved are explosive movements such as jumps that produce quick powerful movements which is exactly what you need on the court.
